A fence system with gates would be a useful addition to Deadside.
Many real properties, military camps, and outposts use fences, which would make bases feel more realistic.
A fence would be a cheaper alternative to solid walls and would be especially useful for solo and duo players to protect vehicles, small outposts, or parts of their base.
It would create more tactical options while still allowing visibility of the surrounding area. However, fences should be easier to destroy than proper walls, making them a balanced middle ground between open areas and heavily fortified bases.
