A MAJOR PROBLEM, WHY PLAYERS LEAVE!
The fact that any amateur can steal the mission reward without having to worry about anything is really stupid and, to be honest, not realistic either—not firing a single shot but then robbing the pros because they know full well that in PVE, NO player can harm another.
How about simply creating a radius around the mission crate where EVERY player is vulnerable—even, or especially, in PVE?! That way, amateurs with low-tier gear would think twice about whether they really want to steal from a high-tier player and possibly get killed in the process.
Because if it’s supposed to be realistic, you also have to acknowledge that probably NO ONE would steal from fighters in an armed conflict—since they’d easily become the victim themselves—and in such a case, the fighters would be anything but pleased if they caught a thief….
Absolutely ZERO risk when stealing is NOT realistic.
Yes 100%!! So many cool players have stopped playing because of this. Either something like you suggest, or just simply lock the crate to the first player to register to the mission when within the vicinity. If the player dies then they can be deregistered from the mission. This way at least retains the spirit of PVE.

So right now, I’m seriously considering renting a Deadside server…. Logically, that would mean starting from scratch again, but in return I’d have admin rights and could decide for myself who plays on that server. And if someone misbehaves, there’d be at most a warning, followed by a kick, and then a ban—and just like that, the issue of cheaters—I call them that because it’s kind of a form of cheating—would be taken care of.
But if you take a look around here, you’ll see that it’s a real problem that annoys—or even drives away—a lot of players, and I think it’s a shame that you have to “cheat” yourself (by renting a server) to get rid of cheaters…
Looks like players won’t play, but just let you do the crap and then steel your rewards…. Fine, guys just play PVP and you have exactly what you want, but PvE is different from that, it’s not about killing other players or steal their rewards it’s about player against environment. Do such stealers understand that?
Exactly. Both the players who do that and the developers allowing that on PVE is very disappointing.
It’s the question why someone play something. So as I understand it if I play something I play it because I can achieve something and maybe the way to the achievements is funny or interesting. If I would know before I would have to deal with others who can steel my reward for playing the game 🤣🤣🤣🤣 there’s no question, I just don’t play it because that’s no game too me. Point. But I already purchased the game 🤷
I feel the same way yeah. They really have to approach the game with the underatanding that a certain % of players will be toxic, and you really need to configure things to prevent the very actions that are toxic in nature. Those players who wait for someone else to nearly finish a mission and then run in to steal the crate is one great example
