Before I submit I’ll say the game is great however as an experienced player in both PVE and PVP, I think the updates are mainly aimed at PVP making PVE seem a little over the top. EG: I get the new gun fix rules stop raiders easily repairing their weapons and moving into a new raid spot but this is unnecessary for PVE? PVE players only need armour for missions not against other players so is it all possible to split PVE and PVP levels?
All they care about is PvP. The devs have a PvP server and thats what they cater to. Almost everything in the 1.9 update to “we want to be RUST 2.0” was intended to put players out more and thus more oppurtunities for PvP encounters. To me, this is a conflict of interest and the devs need to be reprimanded and 2 developer teams created, 1 for PvP and 1 for PvE. PvP team you can have loaf and never give him back…
That would be a huge mistake to care only about pvp when pve is more desired and popular - including among many people who havent played the game yet. If there technically are more pvp players, its not because its more popular. I see so many good pve players just quit PVE because its not really optimized and there is more pvp occurring than pve with missions getting constantly hijacked. I agree they should put more serious focus on pve and removing the pvp aspects from pve.
