More people are leaving Windows for Linux or wanting to play your game on Steam Deck.
Can you please enable proton support for BattlEye so those of us on Linux can enjoy your game? I miss playing Deadside ever since I left Windows.
This is the official statement from Steam regarding BattlEye support on Linux for developers:
“BattlEye on Proton integration has reached a point where all a developer needs to do is reach out BattlEye to enable it for their title. No additional work is required by the developer besides that communication. Partners have started turning on BattlEye support for their titles, meaning these games are now working on Steam Deck.”
If you reach out to BattlEye and enable proton integration to Deadside you will reach more players without any additional cost.

I’m already able to play Dayz without any problems in Nobara. I would love to keep playing Deadside as well.

Like many others, I’ve recently moved to Linux Mint as Windows 10 support winds down. I love Deadside, but I can’t play it anymore due to the BattlEye kick.
Valve has confirmed that enabling BattlEye for Proton requires no additional code or development work—just a simple request from the developers to BattlEye to “flip the switch” for the title.
Please consider taking this small step to support your Linux and Steam Deck players. We want to be back in the game, but we aren’t going back to Windows!
